And did you see that one of the "bugs" fixed in the IDE is that "you cannot check for updates in Visual Studio .NET" (KB 836454). So here's a case where you go through the process to register your product, get absolutely no feedback that "you cannot check for updates", nor get any notifications of updates, until the product has been commercially unavailable for nearly a year?
